Army Ten Miler - Oct. 5, 2008

It's official - I'm registered to run the Army Ten Miler in Washington, DC on Oct. 5, 2008! I'm pretty excited about it. Even though I don't have much motivation to run right now, I'm glad I have a goal to work towards. It will be a good reason to run and work out even while Scott is deployed this summer!

My friend Heather from Harker Heights will be running it with me! Her husband is a Physical Therapist in the Army, and he is currently deployed. I think we'll have a good time! If anyone else is interested in running it (with me - or just starting it with me!), here is the registration page.

The proceeds benefit the Army MWR which is a comprehensive network of support and leisure services designed to enhance the lives of soldiers and their families.

Andrea wants to run it with you..especially because she hasn't been to visit you in NC yet.

I'm really jealous I won't be around to participate. I'll be sad to not see you cross the finish line!!

I found your blog searching for info about the Army 10 Mile Run. I am registered to run as well. My husband and I are stationed at Bragg, but he is deployed, and I am staying with family while he is gone. I am excited to run this race for the first time! Good Luck!
